Phinn Sallin-Mason's Speed of Life exhibition features some thirty photographs taken at six different locations in the medieval city.
The artist explores commercial and cinematic aesthetics to create compelling portraits that question norms of gender and identity. Her colourful and intriguing images manipulate visual codes to address themes such as diversity, equality and empathy. A new series, ‘La Princesse et la Grenouille’ (The Princess and the Frog), revisits a fairy tale in the setting of the Château de Chenaux, blending fiction with local references.
Opening: Saturday 5 October 2024, 2pm, rue du Château 12 (Rempart Bar), 1470 Estavayer-le-Lac.
