The City of Fribourg has been designated Swiss Capital of Taste 2023 by the Foundation for the Promotion of Taste. It will be the ambassador of Switzerland’s largest gourmet event, the Week of Taste, taking over from Basel. The host city is committed to respecting the Taste Charter, which encourages it to promote the pleasure of eating, to create exchanges and links in the food community, to encourage the organization of events and to highlight local, authentic, healthy and sustainable products. Between March and October, the City of Fribourg and its partners are presenting a series of events related to the region’s gastronomy and culinary know-how. Fribourg Tourism also offers a whole range of activities that are sure to delight your taste buds. The Year of Taste organized by the City of Fribourg has the following themes on the menu: Tastes of home; From the earth to the table; Health is in the plate.
