Florence Desbiolles (piano), Cyrille Pürro (violin), and Nicolas Jungo (cello) are all professors at the Conservatory of Fribourg.
They come together this season for the teachers' concert series to present two works deeply rooted in traditions that inspired the composers: Anton Dvorak's Dumky Trio and Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons.
The Dumky Trio consists of six Dumkas (melancholic and sorrowful melodies of Ukrainian origin) combined with lively and joyful dances. Dvorak expresses captivating and contrasting moods, with both dark and light tones.
The Four Seasons, also known as Estaciones Porteñas, will complete this musical journey. Piazzolla vividly and sensitively portrays his impressions of the seasons in his hometown, the Argentine capital.
