Dear friends of Midi Musique,
Once again this year, we cordially invite you to five special lunchtime concerts in the German Church in Murten - musically curated and prepared with great care by Tatjana Fuog, our artistic director.
To kick things off on Saturday, 10 May 2025 at 12.00 noon, you can expect a humorous classic: ‘Carnival of the Animals’ by Camille Saint-Saëns, played in a colourful organ arrangement by Tatjana Fuog. The French composer, a contemporary of Bizet and Fauré, was known for his virtuosity and subtle humour - both of which are masterfully reflected in this work, which he himself described as a ‘comic zoological fantasy’.
Between the lion, kangaroo, swan and fossils, there is of course no shortage of words: Loriot's witty interludes - charming and tongue-in-cheek - are read by Theo Fuog.
A concert to smile, marvel and enjoy - perfect for a lively start to the new Midi Musique season.
