In 1969, mankind landed on the moon for the first time.
In 2019, amateur astronomers founded the ‘on the moon again’ movement to celebrate the moon landing 50 years ago. Since then, ‘on the moon again’ has defined a date every year on which astronomers of all kinds around the world allow the public to observe the moon through their telescopes.
Together, the Épendes Observatory (https://observatoire-ependes.ch/de/home) and the Bern Astronomical Society (https://agbe.ch/) are organising a moon observation with telescopes at the Pantschau in Murten as part of ‘on the moon again’.
Unfortunately, the event can only take place in good weather. If a lot of clouds prevent a view of the moon or even rain is forecast, the event will not take place and there will be no telescope at the Pantschau. Then we will try again next year.
If you really can't wait until then, you can perhaps visit an observatory in the region in the meantime. For example, the Épendes Observatory or the Space Eye, or get active at the AGBE or the Épendes Observatory ;-)
