Three feminine universes: Valentine Prax, Ineke Esseiva, Florence Francon
This year's second Clin d'Oeil exhibition, to be held at the Salle des Baillis from September 16, 2023 to March 3, 2024, will bring together paintings under glass by three women artists with singular artistic backgrounds. Valentine Prax (Annaba, Algeria 1897-1981 Paris), Ineke Esseiva (Delft 1918-1999 Fribourg) and Florence Francon (Fribourg 1930-2013 Neuchâtel) express themselves through distinct media. At first glance, everything seems to separate them. Yet there is a strong affinity in their ability to seize the moment, capture fleeting moments or immortalize scenes of life, poetically fixing the everyday.
