Immersive exhibition… travel through painting, poetry and music!
With Lauriane & François Beffa, voice and piano

In this immersive exhibition, the audience will discover the paintings and poetry of Isabella Beffa‑Paul, on a dreamlike journey through colours, sounds and words: the artist’s watercolours and Chinese ink works will be accompanied by her own poems and by musical pieces accessible via QR codes.
Additionally, the artist invites you to two concerts, during which this interactivity – painting, poetry and music – will be brought to life by Lauriane and François Beffa, voice and piano. The two artists will perform the music and poems from the exhibition while the audience watches the paintings projected on a large screen.

Concerts:
Friday 18:00
Saturday 17:00

Artist biography:

Isabella Beffa‑Paul is a musician, painter and poet who has been active for many years. She has exhibited numerous times, notably at Art‑Forum in Rue, Galerie du Carolin in Syens, Le Phénix in Fribourg, Les Petits Gris in Romont, and at the Tour du Sauvage in 2004, 2015 and again in 2018 for the 30th anniversary of the Tour du Sauvage.
As a musician and piano teacher, she has undertaken many projects integrating writing, theatre, painting and music with her students from the Conservatoire de l’Ouest Vaudois. She enjoys proposing artistic experiences that sit at the intersection of arts. Her paintings are often described as rhythmic and dance‑like, she seeks strong sound elements in her poems, and the music she chooses is generally highly colourful and suggestive.

Lauriane Beffa
Immersed in the world of classical music from a very young age, Lauriane initially trained in violin and later in lyric singing. She participated in numerous projects as a soprano but soon developed a curiosity and a desire to transcend the classical framework to blend live arts. With a rich and original artistic personality, Lauriane channels her imagination, passion for music, improvisation and composition into a variety of multidisciplinary artistic creations. A great lover of artistic exploration, she is delighted by the project “De terres et d’ailes,” which blends poetry, music and painting.

François Beffa is a pianist and piano teacher at the Conservatoire de Fribourg. He has been performing concerts for over 30 years, including at the 20 Heures de Musique since its inception, the Schubertiade, the Fêtes musicales de Bulle, in solo, chamber music and with orchestra. He loves sharing his enthusiasm with audiences through a variety of outreach initiatives. He recorded a CD in 2019 with Jean‑Claude Gaberel; the audio recording in the film “Farinelli” earned both a César and a Golden Globe. Working with his students, he has led projects integrating painting, theatre, improvisation and composition in performances such as Poulenc’s “L’Histoire de Babar” or Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.”

With generous support from FNX Musique and Laure TV for the concerts.
