The exhibition at the Salle des Baillis brings together paintings under glass by Carlo Domeniconi (*1951), in which the artist explores the representation of the face. Reduced to organic forms and geometric structures, these faces become reflections of inner worlds - ‘tracings of life’ that question memory and identity.
Carlo Domeniconi lives and works in Schaffhausen. He studied fine art in Zurich and Venice, and spent several years living in Italy and Spain. His work has been exhibited abroad and has won numerous awards. For over forty years, painting under glass has been one of his preferred modes of expression.
