Visitors to the Vitromusée Romont have the privilege of discovering the works of Silvia Gertsch, Priska Jacobs and Daniel Stettler exhibited in the Maison Suisse at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The three artists pursue a decidedly contemporary approach, reinterpreting traditional techniques and pictorial content.
Silvia Gertsch
Silvia Gertsch was born in Bern in 1963. After years in Zurich and Bergamo, she now lives and works in Rüschegg. Her pictures are captured moments painted behind glass. Silvia Gertsch has taken part in major national and international solo and group exhibitions.
Priska Jacobs
Her childhood in the mountains resonates in the works of Priska Jacobs and captures the world of ice. She learned the technique of cast glass in London and developed it over twenty years in her studio near Aarau. She has shown the ephemeral beauty of ice in many international exhibitions.
Daniel Stettler
Born near Biel in 1966, the glass artist now lives and works in Bern. After attending the School of Arts and Crafts, he trained as a glass artist and glass painter in Bern. His works are mainly made of glass and can be found in many places as art on buildings.
