Kilbi food only on reservation
Every 2nd weekend in November we celebrate our Kilbi.
With a special menu that has been served for centuries - just as it is today.
Preparations begin as early as September. Büschelibirli AOP are diligently prepared and preserved in jars, just as they were a hundred years ago.
Brätzele - every family has its own recipe
A dough is made from lots of nidla, flour, salt and sugar, which is lovingly worked by hand and shaped into Tradlen.
The Tradlen are baked in a pretzel iron over the fire. Every family has its own iron, which is passed down from generation to generation.
Chüechle... Preserving an old tradition! A week before the Martinskilbi, our grandmothers were already busy making “ds Chüechle”! It's still like that today... a sweet temptation with coffee!
