After more than two years of travelling by bike to photograph the national parks of Europe and Patagonia, nature photographer Christopher Schaller returns to his homeland, the Sense district. During his work on these vast primeval landscapes, he felt the desire to return to his roots and rediscover and capture his deep connection to the nature of the Sense district.
With a new perspective, he rediscovered the breathtaking beauty of this extraordinary region.
The results are unique, hand-printed, analogue black and white photographs that take us into the world of animals, forests, gorges and rivers and tell us about their uniqueness and diversity. His images invite us to consciously immerse ourselves in these natural environments full of life and to reflect on the significance of our own roots.
