2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 
2024 is a year of celebration for Fribourg Tourisme et Région! The year-long activities are aimed at tourists and locals alike. Thanks to the visit of the artist Saype and the videos by Davide Nestola, Fribourg will shine beyond its borders. Some of our district partners will also be opening their doors throughout the year with a weekly program of tours. The ramparts will also be the setting for a retrospective exhibition on tourism in Fribourg.
A whole program of festivities will brighten up the year, and here you’ll find all the information you need to be at the heart of the festivities!
125th anniversary beer
Thanks to the expertise of the Brasserie de la Croix-Blanche in Posieux, Fribourg Tourisme et Région has produced the “125” beer. You’ll find this Weizen beer in a dozen restaurants and shops in the region, and at several museums during the Nuit des Musées. You can also order it directly from our online store.
New pedestrian signage
To modernize our visitors’ experience and showcase our tangible and intangible heritage in a colorful and original way, Madame Marilou was asked to illustrate the panels along the tourist route.
