Church of Christ the King
The Church of Christ the King is located on the Boulevard de Pérolles.
Its most original feature is its fan-shaped floor plan. Unlike a traditional nave, this layout accentuates the communion effect of the faithful around the officiant thanks to this favourable visual relationship. This fan-shaped motif is also used in the shape of the forecourt, which is continuous with the church, and contributes to the general movement of the built mass that guides the faithful towards the church.
The chapels that close off the sides of the forecourt were originally designed as possible extensions to the church on busy days.
