17th-century bread oven, refurbished in 2000
The commune of Villarsel-sur-Marly took advantage of the sale of the baker's oven to take up residence here. The building was constructed in the early 17th century and refurbished in 2000. The first floor, formerly a grain storehouse, has been converted into a meeting room for the local council and assembly. The archives were housed in the attic, which was completely refurbished. The lower floor of the building, a vaulted room housing the kiln itself, was left untouched. It can easily be renovated when the need arises. Sanitary facilities have been built in place of an old staircase.
