2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 
Aldo Albizzati, 1978
Made by an Italian wrought-iron craftsman in Bulle, then in Fribourg, this crane was first installed in July 1978 in front of the Albertinum prison. The removal of the square during the construction of the Route des Alpes parking lot meant that the work had to be moved to the funicular garden at the exit of the top station. Acquired by the City of Fribourg, this work is a testimony to the skills of this craftsman, who is renowned for his restoration work and his creations of signs, railings and gates.
