National Day
1st August lights up at Grandes-Rames
The evening will begin at 6 PM with the opening of the beverage and food stands. To mark the start of the celebration, the public is invited to share an aperitif offered by the City from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The programme will feature pop-rock music from High5, alternating with illuminated performances and parades by the circus company Paradox.
At 8 PM, the official part will commence with a performance by the Union Instrumentale de Fribourg, which will notably play the national anthem. The guest of honour for the evening will be the Fribourg artist Zoë Më, who represented Switzerland at Eurovision in 2025 in Basel, and she will take the stage to offer a unique moment, with an unprecedented musical speech for 1 August.
The Neuveville District Interests Association (IQN), the music society La Lyre, FC Central, the association La Red, and the City of Fribourg are looking forward to welcoming you to this event.
The funicular will exceptionally run until 11:30 PM to allow everyone to fully enjoy this evening.
