Exhibition and participatory workshops
Little bells, bottles, and stools are quite unusual instruments to introduce children to music. The Fribourg Music Festival and the Labo urbain present an exhibition on the music education of the inventive Neuchâtel composer Albert Jeanneret through a selection from the archives and a re-enactment.
In an impressive villa on the shores of Lake Geneva, designed by his brother Charles-Édouard, better known by the pseudonym Le Corbusier, the students play and sing. They seem to be enjoying this joyful lesson. Bringing rhythms to life – this is a new way to teach music and transform young musicians into true virtuosos!
A re-enactment of these unusual music lessons will take place as part of participatory workshops with the musician Luc Müller.
