Concert Dark Folk, Doom, Experimental Metal
For fans of Emma Ruth Rundle, Amenra, Anna von Hauswolff
Chelsea Wolfe, who has just unveiled two new tracks that offer a first glimpse of the upcoming ninth album, has been exploring sound territories where neofolk, experimental electronics, doom metal, and drone intersect for over a decade. So, where does one place Chelsea Wolfe? Nowhere and everywhere at once. This is precisely what makes her universe so unique and her stage presence indispensable.
In 2014, the general public heard her in the theme tune of Game of Thrones as well as in the television adaptation of 12 Monkeys. More recently, her music can be heard in the soundtrack of the slasher X by Ti West.
Chelsea Wolfe has established herself as one of the most fascinating artists in contemporary alternative music. Her latest album, She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She (2024), is a perfect illustration of this: a sensual, mystical, and cyclical work, where electronic textures blend with enchanting and introspective atmospheres.
On stage, Chelsea Wolfe translates her universe in a striking manner. Between hypnotic electronic layers and riffs of tremendous power, she takes the audience on an inner journey marked by transformation and renewal. Possessed by her songs and endowed with a rare magnetic presence, she captivates as much as she unsettles.
