For more than 50 years, Nicole and her mother Alberte have shared their daily lives in the family home where time seems to have stood still. Alberte fears being alone, and Nicole – limited in her autonomy – has never been able to take flight, despite the repeated encouragement of her sister Danielle.
It is then that Nicole's niece, Lauren, takes out her camera and becomes the driving force behind a journey of empowerment that is as touching as it is uplifting. A first luminous film with a heart as generous as that of its protagonists.
