Jazz concert, album launch
For over two decades, Daniel Hernandez has made the piano an extension of himself. As an interpreter, composer, and intuitive soloist, he strives to balance a deep respect for improvisation and modern jazz with a decidedly contemporary and innovative approach to composition. Based in Fribourg, Daniel Hernandez is involved in numerous projects exploring a wide variety of genres, which regularly brings him to perform on European stages. « Pure Land », his first solo album, is like a piano placed in the middle of an imaginary island. Like in a musical film, the album unfolds soundscapes that evoke pristine and mysterious expanses. The piano reveals a raw expression, shaped by improvisation. This sonic adventure, nourished by slow science fiction universes, charts a risky epic in still unexplored territories.
