The Sarine Regional Association presents the Sarine Trails project
The Regional Association of the Sarine (ARS), the Municipality of Gibloux and the Association of Illens Castle warmly invite you to a major opening day at the heart of the iconic Illens Castle site. This festive day will mark the official launch of The Sarine Trails as a SuisseMobile hiking route, of a new outdoor game developed around Illens Castle, as well as of new hiking trails created by the Municipality of Gibloux.
Program:
- 9:00 am: Guided walk between Rossens, Corpataux and Illens (registration needed)
- 11:30 am: Official inauguration in the presence of the authorities and project partners
- From 12:00 pm: Medieval entertainment by the troop "La Garde du Mont-Gibloux", with demonstrations, music and fun activities
- Guided visits of Illens Castle
- Medieval meal and complimentary drinks

By bus: Take line 470 or 336 to the “Rossens, Illens” stop, then walk for 15 minutes to the castle
By car: Parking is available in the villages of Rossens and Corpataux, followed by a walk of around 45 minutes. Please note that the parking area at the Illens farm will not be accessible during the event.
