Exhibition on the performance of Abraham Poincheval at the Art and History Museum
The wandering knight is a performance work that is both strange and familiar. Between 11 and 22 June 2026, Abraham Poincheval walked through several significant sites that contributed to the establishment of the Confederation. Departing from the meadow of Grütli, he made his way to Fribourg, donned in a medieval suit of armour weighing over 30 kilos. The knight seems to have emerged straight from a distant, foundational narrative. He is the catalyst for a landscape where periods overlap and stories intertwine: between memories, histories, myths, and legends.
