Screening and evening of the association ParMi
The ParMi association, the Rex Cinema, and MesoArt are coming together on Friday, 20th November at 18:30 for an exceptional evening. The programme includes the world premiere of the Fribourg documentary "The Words of Sahil", followed by a discussion, and then the launch of a major search for new godmothers and godfathers for the ParMi association.
The Film
While the public debate often projects a anxious or distant image of migration, "The Words of Sahil" (a film by Serhat Ertuna produced by MesoArt, 2026) offers a necessary counterpoint. Filmed and directed in Fribourg, this documentary follows the daily life of Sahil, a young Afghan who arrived in Switzerland at the age of 17, alone. Rather than accepting his fate, Sahil makes every effort to settle in Fribourg, particularly with the support of his godfather Jean-Paul.
