Electro-jazz concert
The Matthieu Michel Trio brings together three figures from the European jazz scene: trumpeter Matthieu Michel, Patrice Moret on double bass, and Christophe Calpini on drums and sound textures. Initiated by composer and producer Blaise Caillet, this project infuses artistic direction by proposing compositions derived from an avant-garde electro universe that serve as a playground for the three improvisers. The trio will present this music in a new album set to be released in early 2027. Their music develops a contemporary jazz imbued with airy sounds, subtle lyricism, and great attention to space. This acoustic elegance is interwoven with electronic textures and pulsations, creating a sound universe that is both sensitive and undeniably current.
