Mitsune is a Japanese neo-folk fusion group based in Berlin, bringing together musicians from Japan, Germany, Australia, and Greece. Led by an explosive duo of Tsugaru shamisen players, accompanied by percussion and double bass, Mitsune develops an intense and rhythmic music, blending Japanese tradition with psychedelia.
Between folk songs, raw emotions, distinctive costumes, and evocative storytelling, their concerts take the form of true sonic and visual surges, raw and theatrical.
