The Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg is a venue for contemporary art, offering rotating exhibitions and a platform for artists from around the world.
The Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg is an innovative center for contemporary art, known for its boldness and avant-garde approach to the culture of tomorrow. Housed in a former cardboard factory from the 19th century, it hosts between 4 and 6 rotating exhibitions each year, blending visual art, performances, and music. As a true hub of contemporary culture in Switzerland, Friart highlights new artistic practices while also addressing current social challenges in collaboration with artists.
With an original and evolving program, the Kunsthalle also offers immersive experiences suitable for all, particularly through its educational program for schools and post-compulsory education classes. Inside the Kunsthalle, a specialist bookstore offers a selection of catalogs, books, and publications on contemporary art, which are regularly enriched by talks from artists and curators.
