The Sense Museum explores the history and traditions of the Sense district through objects and exhibitions about local life, professions, and customs.
In the heart of Tafers, in the old village school dating back to 1780, the Sense Museum introduces you to the history of the region. Housed in the historic school building, the museum invites you to immerse yourself in the past centuries. It features a collection of everyday objects, traditional clothing, and testimonies of the life of the inhabitants from the 18th and 19th centuries. The permanent exhibition highlights local customs, housing, and beliefs, with a special focus on the straw industry, an economic sector that shaped the local economy.
The museum, located in a building from 1780 with architecture typical of the region, is also a dynamic place where changing exhibitions range from Christmas displays to contemporary art. It is a unique spot to explore the heritage and vibrant culture of the Sense district.
