Swiss Puppet Museum: discover the captivating history of this art form with puppets and sets, from Antiquity to the present day
Established in 1985 by the artist Jean Bindschedler, the Swiss Puppet Museum boasts a distinctive collection of over 5,000 artefacts. This vibrant venue explores the history of puppetry and hosts two temporary exhibitions each year. The performance season runs from October to May and features a different show each month (programme available here).
Alongside the monthly shows, the museum provides an interactive area featuring a puppet theatre and videos, as well as workshops and guided tours suitable for all ages. A visitor's booklet enables children aged 6 to 12 to explore this fascinating world in an entertaining way.
