The Museum of Art and History is located in three historic buildings in the heart of Fribourg, offering visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the city's artistic and cultural heritage. Outdoors, a peaceful garden with notable sculptures, such as La Grande Lune by Niki de Saint Phalle, invites guests to relax. Inside, the collections include archaeological finds from the region, objects that illustrate the political and cultural life of Fribourg, as well as sculptures and paintings spanning nearly ten centuries, from the 11th to the 20th century.

People with reduced mobility
Most MAHF rooms are wheelchair-accessible; a ramp can be installed on the first floor of the Ratzé Hotel on request. People with reduced mobility pay a preferential entrance fee. Admission is free for companions of people with reduced mobility who would be unable to visit the museum on their own.
