The Capuchin Nuns came from Lucerne in 1621 to Fribourg, where they inheritated a fortune for their establishment in the convent.

The church of Joseph is a simple rectangular structure with ridgeturret. High quality appointments from the foundation period: the tree Mannerist retables, early works of Hans-Franz Reyff (1635). Organ by Aloys Mooser (1810)

Eucharist:
Sunday at 8.30am and Thursday at 5.15pm.
The other days at 7.30 am.
