Design Fribourg Conference
Aniana Heras is a Spanish ceramicist and artist. A graduate in arts and design, she has developed a practice in which a contemporary aesthetic coexists with traditional ceramic techniques, combining functional objects with sculptural forms.
Her work explores the relationship between the body, material, balance, and presence. Through an intuitive and process-driven approach, she allows each piece to emerge through experimentation, movement, and dialogue with clay. Improvisation plays an essential role in her practice, where shaping becomes a way of thinking and discovering.
During this talk, she will focus on her personal creative process: how ideas develop through making, the importance of intuition and spontaneity, and how ceramics has become a way to connect craftsmanship, mindfulness, and contemporary expression.
The talk will be in English.
