400 years ago, JH Schein published “Israelsbrünneli,” a collection of madrigal motets inspired by biblical texts. The ensemble Voces Suaves presents the most moving and expressive pieces from this unique collection. It offers a unique insight into the development of Protestant church music in the 17th century and is characterized by a subtle balance between melodic simplicity and sophisticated polyphony.
