Lunch-concert X HEMU
In partnership with the HEMU and the Conservatoire de Fribourg, the BCU regularly offers double lunch concerts on Wednesdays at noon and Saturdays at aperitif time.
To inaugurate the Bösendorfer piano in the Das Kaleidoskop hall, mezzo-soprano Valentine Berne and pianist Noémie Delcroix create a musical dialogue between Caroline Charrière (1960-2018) and Fanny Mendelssohn (1805-1847). They perform Le livre pour toi, in which the Fribourg composer explores the full spectrum of romantic feelings, from their birth to their decline, set to poems by Marguerite Burnat-Provins.
To highlight the sensuality and modernity of her writing, they juxtapose this cycle with Fanny Mendelssohn's 6 Lieder op.1. This youthful score, full of freshness, contrasts with the intensity of Caroline Charrière's cycle.
At the end of the concert, the contents of the hat will be entirely donated to the two musicians.
