The BCU supports the intellectual life of the canton with resources for teaching, research and the preservation of cultural memory.
Fribourg's Cantonal and University Library (BCU) offers 220 self-access workstations and a collection of 75,000 books classified by subject. Its media library includes a variety of audiovisual documents, specialized photography books and comic books. The BCU offers tailor-made tours for groups and schools, and organizes cultural exhibitions.
