Revealing all his talent in his debut album Through the Window (2023), Prewn establishes himself as a distinctive voice in the contemporary indie scene. With System, released last October, the artist Izzy Hagerup opens up, creating music that is both raw and disarmingly sincere. While this album initially gives the impression of being uncompromising, it is because it was never really intended for a mass audience. The artist based in Los Angeles describes it as a “public diary”. Through nine tracks, System traces a personal journey marked by depression, but also punctuated by moments of humour, selfishness, and introspection, a truly unique ebb and flow that makes the whole deeply human and unique.
On stage, Prewn unleashes the full emotional power of his compositions. His voice guides the audience through his world of experimental Indie Rock and Folk, creating music that is intimate, warm, and enveloping. The pieces transform, breathe, and oscillate between tension and release in an organic dynamic that captivates from the very first notes.
