Belluard Bollwerk Workshop
Social media has become a tool for conveying, archiving, and accessing news, stories, images and perspectives that are not being transmitted by mainstream journalism. Artist Sara Leghissa, who work with posters as a means of disobedience and queer vandalism in public space, invite to a workshop in which we look critically at different media and the information they provide. Based on the materials that people bring and that are important to them (texts, poems, songs, Instagram videos, Facebook posts, images, films), we explore the language of mass media and critical journalism. Together with the group, Sara animates a process of co-writing of texts for posters that one month later during the festival will be displayed in a common performance in the public space of Fribourg.
The workshop takes place over the over the course of two days. On the first day, you will share the materials that the participants bring, on the second day, you will delve into a collective writing process.
