The Dance Festival is held each year in Fribourg and all over Switzerland beginning of May. Hip Hop, Tango, contemporary dance or folk dances... join the party and choose your style!
Since 2006, the Dance Festival has grown nationwide to become a major cultural event across the country, bringing together enthusiasts, curious visitors, and newcomers around the art of movement in all its forms. From May 6 to 10, 2026, it returns to the cities of Fribourg and Bulle for five days of performances for all audiences, introductory workshops, festive evenings, and unforgettable encounters.
Spread across around fifteen venues, the program showcases the work of Swiss companies and international artists, and invites the public to experience dance firsthand—whether at a tea dance or through its traditional introductory classes.
Open to everyone, the festival offers a pass granting access to most performances for the modest price of 25 francs. The various outdoor activities, notably held at the Grand-Places in Fribourg and the Bouleyres Skatepark in Bulle, are free of charge.
