This hike at the gates of Fribourg invites you to discover the region in a gentle and sustainable way. Accessible by public transport, the route crosses forests, farmlands, and landscapes shaped by the Sarine, while offering magnificent views of the city and its surroundings.
The path runs along Lake Pérolles, its reed beds, and its molasse cliffs, a remarkable natural environment where wildlife is particularly present. Along the walk, hikers also discover several witnesses of the regional heritage, such as the Chapel of Lorette, the Abbey of Maigrauge, the Maigrauge Dam, and the remains of ancient hydraulic installations.
With its 19 stations offering games, riddles, and sensory experiences for children, the itinerary is an ideal activity for discovering the natural and cultural richness of the region with the family, while prioritising walking and public transport.
