Open in winter 1994, the ice rink of Marly is the second ice rink in the canton of Fribourg after the one of St-Léonard (now BCF Arena) in Fribourg.
The Jean Tinguely ice rink bears his name in memory of the famous painter and sculptor from Fribourg.
The skating surface is well defined in two zones for those who want to enjoy sliding and for those who want to play ice hockey.
The first part is intended for learning to skate, for training of figure skating for the more experienced. The use of canes and pucks is not allowed.
The second part is reserved for hockey, an area on which small games are organized at each session open to everyone.
A small refreshment bar is available for spectators 5 metres from the track.
Once a year, between Christmas and New Year, the ice rink hosts the international Jean Tinguely Memorial tournament, a tournament that showcases young people from several countries.
