Embark on a journey to the Switzerland of the 1990s and discover a miniature universe where every detail tells a story. Just a few minutes from the centre of Fribourg, Kaeserberg invites young and old to explore one of the largest miniature railway networks in Switzerland. Over more than 2 km of tracks, up to 87 trains travel through landscapes inspired by Switzerland. Trains, stations, villages, mountains, and thousands of scenes of life create a strikingly realistic world populated by around 6,500 figurines. The discovery goes far beyond the miniature network. Cinema, interactive screens, and a teaching model reveal the behind-the-scenes of railway modelling and the skills necessary to bring this universe to life. Outside, a full-sized locomotive and playful installations extend the exploration. Whether you are a train enthusiast or simply curious, Kaeserberg is above all an experience to share with family, friends, or in groups.
And to go from spectator to driver, take the controls! Installed in a real locomotive cabin, the driving simulator allows you to experience what it's like to be a driver and to virtually traverse the Swiss railway lines. This experience is by reservation only.
