Effects of scale” exhibition at the Swiss Museum of Transport, Lucerne
For the first time, the Kaeserberg model train network is on public display at one of Switzerland's most visited museums. Located in the train hall of the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, this unique exhibition will occupy an area of 45 m² for 10 years.
Effets d'échelle” explores the notion of measurement in an original way, highlighting two scales:
- The 1:87 scale: Eight interactive dioramas allow visitors to discover scenes from the Kaesernerg network, accompanied by videos and information on the network and Fribourg tourism.
- 87:1 scale: Two gigantic fingers and a giant yellow pencil illustrate the perspective, giving visitors the impression of being miniature in the middle of the model.
The exhibition also offers a window onto “Fribourg tourism”, with an interactive terminal enabling visitors to discover the canton's tourist attractions.
