Climb the 365 steps up to the cathedral tower and you will enjoy a great reward: a breathtaking view of the city and the Fribourg Préalpes
The tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral rises to a height of 74 metres. From its summit, it offers a spectacular panorama of the city of Fribourg and the Fribourg Pre-Alps. The climb requires a certain effort: no fewer than 365 steps lead you in a spiralling ascent to the highest viewpoint in the Old Town. What a wonderful reward!
Access to the tower is now from outside the cathedral, on the left-hand side. With a valid entrance ticket (QR code), you must take a small staircase leading to the turnstile and then to the tower. Please follow the signs located in front of the cathedral.
