About the activities offered by the Host City Fribourg and Official Partner Canton of Fribourg up to the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Switzerland

Fribourg will be the smalles Host City for a Ice Hockey World Championship in the history of the 21st century. Together with the main venue Zurich, it will host the 16 best nations on the planet from 15 to 31 May 2026.
The Host City Fribourg and Official Partner Canton of Fribourg have created “Fribourg 2026, Association Events & Legacy, Switzerland” to support the Organising Committee of the Ice Hockey World Championship with the logistics and operations around the event.
The BCF Arena will host 30 games, including two quarter-finals. Are you ready to thrill?
