Introduction
The Grandjean siblings include five brothers—all black belts in judo. This detail matters because the dojo where the young judokas trained was located above the Boulangerie Dubey in Romont. The proximity of this bakery inspired three of the five brothers to pursue apprenticeships as bakers.
While Joël partnered with the owner of the Romont bakery to form Dubey-Grandjean, André and Marcel took over the bakery cooperative in Belfaux in 1984. By 1995, they had relocated to Givisiez. In addition to baking, they expanded into pastry-making and introduced the concept of whisky truffles, which quickly won over many sweet tooths.
Customers can enjoy a wide range of breads, pastries, confections, and other delights.
