Presentation
For nearly ten years, Louis-Alexandre Yerly has been managing the Friesenheid dairy together with his wife Virginie and their son Baptiste, who joined them two years ago. Louis-Alexandre earned his professional diploma in 2004 and became a Master Cheesemaker. Two years later, he left the Onnens dairy, where he had completed his training, to become independent and set up in the heart of the Singine region, in the hamlet of Friesenheid. Each year, six producers deliver one million kilos of milk, which Louis-Alexandre Yerly uses to produce Gruyère AOP and Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP. These cheeses are delivered respectively to Fromage Gruyère SA and Vacherin Fribourgeois SA.
