Présentation
Located in the Gruyère region, at the foot of the La Berra mountain range, the La Roche cheese dairy receives over 3,600,000 kg of milk per year from more than 34 producers who form a cooperative.
This milk arrives at the production facility morning and evening. It comes from farmers in the village and surrounding areas who strictly follow the standards of the Gruyère AOP guidelines to deliver milk of outstanding quality. The wide variety of flora found in pastures ranging from 750 to 1600 meters in altitude, combined with the farmers’ expertise, reflects the commitment to producing a healthy product.
The milk is processed into various products such as Gruyère AOP, Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP, yogurts, sérac, butter, and more. Since January 1st, 2020, master cheesemaker Gabriel Moura has had the pleasure of succeeding Mr. Emile Brodard as head of the company. Passionate about regional products and everything that comes from them, we take pride in offering them to you at our shop.
To begin this new chapter, Gabriel Moura has brought together a motivated and skilled team to serve you. It consists of seven experienced collaborators.
To better serve customers, the store was renovated in 2010. In addition, the production area was updated with state-of-the-art equipment and a new aging cellar.
