Presentation
Mr. Ewald Schafer is the owner of the Schafer cheese dairy. After completing his apprenticeship as a cheesemaker and training at the Grangeneuve Dairy Industry School, Ewald Schafer continued his studies at the Swiss Agricultural Technicum in Zollikofen near Bern to specialize in the dairy industry. Cheese production being his passion, Ewald chose not to pursue an office job. Instead, he looked for a small operation where he could work independently and put his ideas into practice. In 1993, he took over the village cheese dairy in Cressier/Grissach, located between Murten and Fribourg, which he still operates today.
