Christophe Gremaud, cheesemaker and affineur, fell into the cheese vat at a very young age! At the age of 8, he headed up to the alpine pastures to visit a friend of his father, an armailli—and he never came back down! Among all the mountain tasks, it was making Gruyère that captured his heart. The passion never left him, and he went on to hone his craft in several renowned cheese dairies. He later opened a cheese shop in Bulle and now travels across the canton’s markets!
