The Fribourg Fruit Union (UFF) oversees around 35 fruit producers in the canton of Fribourg. Among the fruits grown are apples and pears, as well as plums, prunes, and summer delights such as cherries, strawberries, and raspberries. But the canton’s star remains the Poire à Botzi AOP, the only fruit in Switzerland to hold an AOP designation since 2007!
