Cuquettes

During the Bénichon season, the Dzodzet would even think of starting a diet! After the gargantuan meal comes coffee time, but this wouldn’t be complete without the traditional sweet treats — bricelets, croquets, cuquettes, and more! Cuquettes resemble carnival “merveilles”: flat, round, and dusted with sugar. However, they are slightly smaller, thicker in texture (thanks to double cream, of course), and are distinguished by a few characteristic slits on top.
